An Invitation To Our Next Vernissage: Roads
Mark Schacter: Roads
Vernissage – Thursday, October 21st, 2010 6:00PM – 8:00PM
Canada is one of the most sparsely populated countries on the planet, and roads have been the way into, through and out of vast and empty places.
This exhibition features the work of Mark Schacter.
The evening will also celebrate the launch of a book of Schacter’s photography – also called Roads – to be released by Fifth House Publishers next month. A limited number of advance copies of the book will be available for purchase on the evening of October 21.
Roads – both the exhibition and the book – is a vision of Canada seen from highways, dirt roads, urban thoroughfares and small-town streets. Schacter traveled throughout Canada gathering the images, and so there are photographs from every corner of the country; and in each photograph, somewhere, there is a road.
An Exposure Gallery Vernissage is an evening of fine art, fine people, and fine conversation. We hope to see you there!
