One of my favorite activities is to walk though the streets of Ottawa looking for subjects to photograph. Perhaps influenced by the work of<\/em> William James Topley<\/strong>, I search for sites reminiscent of a city and culture in development. The sites of Parliament Hill, Rideau Canal, Cummings Bridge, Ottawa River shore and alleys are among many in the city that when framed carefully appear like the time recorded by Topley.<\/em><\/p>\n

Photography intrigued me as an special form of expression while living in Cuba, my birthplace, and while studying psychology in Montreal. However, it wasn\u2019t until I moved to Ottawa three years ago that I became seriously interested in pursuing photography as a career. This summer I will be completing the <\/em>Part Time Certificate offered by the<\/em> School of Photographic Arts Ottawa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
