Your Education Committee have been busy, they are offering six (count ’em) courses on “Photoshop” software.\u00a0 To make this happen the Education Committee will need some instructors – see the end of the post if you are interested in volunteering:<\/p>\n

Are you a beginner with Adobe Photoshop?\u00a0 Or do you dabble with it not really understanding what is involved?\u00a0<\/em>If so, come take our 6 full day workshops that will provide the basics from camera raw to printing.\u00a0 Each module is built upon the preceding one, thus, we are providing a bonus package for those that sign up for all 6 workshops at the amazing price of only $90.\u00a0 If you want to sign up for less than 6 modules, each section will be $20 \u2013 still an incredible price for a full day workshop.\u00a0 This is possible because of our volunteer instructors who are knowledegable, current, and cognizant of what is being taught so that continuity can be provided.\u00a0 The workshops will be divided into the following categories:<\/em><\/p>\n

1) Introduction, Bridge, Camera Raw<\/em><\/p>\n

2) Tools and interface<\/em><\/p>\n

3) Adjustments, Part 1 and 2 (curves, levels, exposure, saturation\u2026.simple fixes)<\/em><\/p>\n

4) Adjustments, Part 3 and 4 (selective adjustments, blending modes, clone\/healing brush more complicated fixes)<\/em><\/p>\n

5) Actions\/automation and black and white conversions<\/em><\/p>\n

6 )Sharpening and printing<\/em><\/p>\n

These sessions will be offered on:<\/em><\/p>\n

February 12<\/em>th<\/em><\/sup> – 1st session<\/em><\/p>\n

March 12<\/em>th<\/em><\/sup> – 2nd session<\/em><\/p>\n

April 9<\/em>th<\/em><\/sup> – 3rd session<\/em><\/p>\n

April 30<\/em>th<\/em><\/sup> – 4th session<\/em><\/p>\n

May 7<\/em>th<\/em><\/sup> – 5th session<\/em><\/p>\n

May 21st– 6th session<\/em><\/p>\n

In order to take any of these courses, you must have CS3 or higher, a laptop, and knowledge of the preceding unit.\u00a0 Preference will be given to those who sign up for all 6 modules by allowing them to sign up first until December 31st at the discount price of $90 at the time of registration.\u00a0 Anyone who chooses to sign up for individual modules will be able to sign up January 1, 2011 at $20 per session.\u00a0 Registration can be made by phone (613-736-6224 from 11-5:30 p.m., Mon-Fri.) or at the Member and Guest Services Desk, located near the east entrance of the RA Centre.\u00a0 All workshops are in Courtside B.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 15; therefore, don\u2019t delay and please have your credit card ready when you register:)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
