Mike spent considerable time on the technical side of the shoot with participants encouraged to be very hands-on in setting up a five- light format. This included two umbrellas, two soft-boxes (key and fill) and a hair light. Using white seamless paper and our light meters (or the studio&#8217;s) the aim was to produce simple images of good quality that would work as family portraits or Christmas Cards and then work up to something a little more glamorous. Our model, a young lady named Leah, was asked to pose in ways that would depict an 11 year old up to an 18 year old. She did a great job and although I&#8217;m not sure I captured the innocence of youth along side the more worldly model I hope you will get the idea.
