While Florida would have been more appreciated, it proved impractical, so the Nature Group \u201cfind a place that is warm\u201d January Outing headed to the Bio-Dome in Montreal on Sunday January 16. It was originally planned for the Saturday, but was postponed due to snow.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0[More images after the break]<\/p>\n

Sixteen people made the trip to the newly re-opened facility with it four domains (Tropical Rain Forest, Laurentian Maple Forest, Gulf of St Lawrence and the Sub-Antarctic Islands.)<\/em><\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n

While all the animals, and their environment, were great, the golden lion tamarin monkeys were a big hit as was the penguin exhibit. One of the gentoo penguins had a 4 week old chick, while two of the King Penguins were guarding eggs which were resting hidden under feathers on their feet. The lynx provided some good photo-ops for a few people.<\/em>\u00a0<\/div>\n
