The Nature Group Outing, on Saturday Nov 21, was well attended by 13 enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

We were well rewarded by a group of 4000 snow geese on Allaire Road off #138 near #417 exit.<\/p>\n

After our Tim\u2019s breakfast pause in Casselman, in some corn fields near St. Albert, we saw 5000 snow geese to our enjoyment.<\/p>\n

As a second breakfast snack, some of the group could not resist the lure of the new St. Albert cheese factory for cheese curds and aged Cheddar Cheese, along with ice cream treats.<\/p>\n

We proceeded to the Winchester Lagoons where Jamie Johnson told us of a snow geese congress which grew from 2000, then to 3000 and then to 10000! What a sight and sound show we had when they decided to take to the air!<\/p>\n

Susan Kilbank and Rick Harris called us to the Barger Pit near Chesterville where 5000 snow geese were enjoying a swim in the quarry pond that later became a spectacular flush in the air.<\/p>\n

By 1:30 pm, we were back to Ottawa after a super spectacular Saturday morning!<\/p>\n
