A feast of teas and tales of one of the world’s great unsung journeys and trade routes. The daunting Ancient Tea Horse Road took in thirteen uninterrupted centuries of non-stop activity, wandering over two main routes stretching almost five thousand kilometers. Through some of the Himalayas’ most treacherous and stunning landscapes it was a route that both provided and took life.<\/em><\/p>\n

Join Thyme & Again<\/a><\/strong> and WildChina’s<\/a> 2011 Explorer of the Year, Jeff Fuchs<\/strong>, for an intimate gathering of tea tasting, imagery and tales of the road. Fuchs, fresh back from being the first westerner to explore another of Asia’s great trade routes, the Salt Road, will host an informal and personal get-together with an explanation of the teas that traveled and the crucial cultures along the route.<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to the June 22 talk, stunning portraits of people on the ancient Tea Horse Road are on view in a photographic exhibition:<\/p>\n
