The Canadian Association of Photographic Art (CAPA)

\n<\/strong>The Canadian Association of Photographic Art (CAPA) 2011 Annual Digital Competition is
\nunderway. This competition is open only to CAPA Individual and Family members, who are living in Canada.
\nFor the first time ever in the seven-year history of CAPA\u2019s Digital Competition, contestants will have a choice between two themes, similar in concept, but completely different in rendition.
\nThe assignment is to provide the CAPA judges with Shadowplay or Silhouette. Participation is limited to two entries per member, one image per theme or both on the same topic. You can submit either colour or B&W images. Manipulation in Adobe Photoshop and other software is permitted. Keep in mind though that CAPA is looking for digital photographs and illustrations originating from photographs that have been produced with taste and imagination. Remember, CAPA is all about photographic art. And art should be created with care and love. Judging will be carried out in Ottawa in early October, and the results will be announced on the CAPA Website shortly thereafter.

\n<\/a>All entries must be submitted electronically no later than midnight (Pacific Standard Time: GMT-8:00) September 30th, 2011, through the CAPA website at www.digitalcapacanada.ca. If you participated in a previous year, you need not register again; you can use the same login and password. For new participants, all you need to do is register using your CAPA Member Number (i.e. 28999) and a valid e-mail address. Please make note of the password the software will generate for you. All participants will be confirmed as members in good standing and living in Canada against the CAPA database, before their entries are accepted and judged at the end of the competition. Your registration will also make it possible for you to change your mind and submit a different entry up to the very last moment.
\nPlease note that e-mail and regular mail entries will NOT be accepted, and will NOT be
\nreturned. The Rules and Guidelines governing this competition are posted on the CAPA
\nWebsite and can be downloaded and printed for your convenience.
