Seminar

The Photographer’s Eye:

Inspired by Colour, Texture and Light

Thursday, May 24, 2018 6:30-9:30 pm

"My photography is a celebration of the visual world

It originates straight from the heart, honest and direct. Inspired by colour, texture and light, I make photographs to express feelings surrounding my experiences, searching for visual equivalents to those feelings.” – Richard Martin

This 3-hour seminar will be presented by Richard Martin an internationally known photographer from Kingston. Richard will share his enthusiasm for photography and creative vision and encourage the attendees to find their own creative spirit. He will inspire them to capture the emotion behind their visual experience and discuss the role that the quality of light plays in creating an image. Richard presents workshops and tours around the world as well as seminars, workshops and webinars in Canada.

Workshop

Vision and Discovery:

Explore Your Creative Spirit

Friday, May 25 6:30 pm to Sunday, May 27 5:00 pm

The aim of this workshop is to offer an intensive learning experience providing participants with a balance of instructional talks, field trips and group evaluation in the classroom. The emphasis is on creating more dynamic photographs by using the visual elements of line, shape, texture and perspective in composition. This is a workshop in vision and is suitable for photographers from all skill levels, who are comfortable with their camera and want to break away from the traditional to re-examine the possibilities of what a camera can record.

As there is space for only 12 participants, priority will be given to RAPC members until midnight March 31. The workshop fee is $450.00 + H.S.T for RAPC members, and $500 for non RAPC members (if there are any spaces available as of May 10th to 25th ).
