IMAGES FROM THE DESERT
I have always been fascinated by the desert landscape. There is a stark beauty to accompany the solitude that I both seek and find in these harsh environments.
The Dune Poetry images resulted from a flight in a small aircraft over the big dunes in the Namib Naukluft National Park in Namibia. The full series is available on the web site, and was published in the magazine LensWork (issue 90). The other two images are from Death Valley in California.
While certainly capable and willing to provide a straight image of a beautiful scene, I am drawn to black and white printed imagery and often to abstractions as hinted at with these prints being shown.
