Glen Cullis describes himself as a Professional Photographer (Retired)
As an accomplished water colourist he spent many years producing a large body of work for sale. In the late 1970’s he purchased his first camera, taking snapshots for reference material for his water colours.
As his interest in photography developed, he looked for a source to inspire this new endeavor. He visited several camera clubs in the Ottawa area, choosing the RA Photo Club in the 1980s as it was the only one with studio facilities.
His attraction to table top and product photography made this feature an enviable asset. He was an avid participant in the club, competing in many competitions, spending nearly 10 years as a member.
Among his club contemporaries in those years, Glen earned an enviable reputation, not only for the excellence of his photography but also for his wry sense of humour.
In August of 1990 he turned professional, working in advertising and portraiture, this led to a position with a graphic arts company in 1994, where he ran the company until he retired in 2003.
He still exercises the camera regularly, though only for his own pleasure, mostly when travelling.
