Last year we had a fabulous exhibit featuring a juried selection of our best prints.
Our club members are a diverse group: Diverse in our interests and ideas, diverse in our ages, expertise, and experience. What brings us together is our common love of photography.
This year we intend to celebrate this diversity by having a Self Juried exhibit. We are therefore inviting one submission per member.
This is your opportunity to show off a print that you are particularly proud of. Other than this there is no general theme. The sky is the limit.
Space, however, is limited. Since we have a large number of members it may not be possible to show everyone’s print. If there are too many entries, successful photographers will be chosen at random.
Please send your submission (1024 pixels on the longest axis) to Izabel Dabrowski at ibkaday@sympatico.ca no later than Jan 8, 2011. We will let you know if your image is selected by Jan 11, 2011.
You will have until February 1, 2011 to bring in your prints. They should be white matted to 16 x 20 (as for the Gallery). They should also be ready to hang in a black frame. We will be asking the photographers for a short bio or statement about their image (or photography in general) to accompany their image. The prints will be put up as soon as possible after Feb 1st.
