A couple of ideas if you are looking for stuff to get out and do over the holidays:
The hangar at Vintage Wings of Canada at Gatineau airport is open today, Thursday & Friday (29, 30 & 31st December). There is no guided tour but you can wander around and photograph freely.
I went this morning and spent an hour there, the light is not great in the hangar, you will need ultra-fast film (EI 1600) or a fast ISO setting if you do not use a tripod – I didn’t see any reason why you couldn’t use a tripod.

All sorts of interesting compositions to be found in amongst the aircraft – just be careful not to impale yourself on a pitot tube or go aperture over lens cap slipping on a patch of oil!

When you are done why not catch Berlin, on at Exposure Gallery above Thyme & Again in Westboro until 11 January, 2011. Guerilla magazine has an article about the show here. It’s a don’t miss – IMNSHO.
