It was a dark and snowy night. It was also the coldest night yet, and the wind was howling. The roads were in a virtual gridlock. This meant nothing to the 100 or so intrepid club members who gathered to celebrate the season with new friends and old. This year there was a traditional turkey dinner with the usual games, competitions, and awards.
Daniel Parent was presented with the People’s Choice Award for his print Phantom which he exhibited at this year’s Open House. John Elliott won the 2013 Christmas Party’s Best Shot for his slide Vimy Monument and Scott Beeston (a new member) won Best Humour for his slide What’s Your Problem?.
2013 was a good year for most of us. The friendships made and lessons learned at the club are to be treasured. Best wishes to all for the Holiday Season and we wish you a happy and creative New Year!
