75th Anniversary Banquet
Get your tickets now for the RA Photo Club 75th Anniversary Banquet taking place on Tuesday, November 18th in the Clark Hall, RA Centre, 2451 Riverside Drive, Ottawa. Enjoy fine food, an entertaining program and meeting with men and women who built Ottawa‘s largest photo club. Past members have been specially invited to join in the fun.
Doors and a cash bar will be open at 6:00 p.m. to give everyone an opportunity to mingle with fellow members, and for past members to renew old acquaintances. Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a succulent menu highlighted by prime rib roast beef with all the trimmings, or vegetable wellington upon request.
Program features will include timely presentations by Catherine Kelly on The RA Photo Club: Our Glorious Past, Mike Giovinazzo on present day Photo Club involvement in the marvels of photography, and Urban Group founder Mike Heffernan on what the future holds for the photographic arts. Master of Ceremonies will be Glen Cullis, genial former member of the club in the 1990s. Welcoming remarks by Chairperson Perpetua Quigley, RA Centre President Diana Monnet and newly appointed General Manager Tosha Rhodenizer will lead off the festivities.
Banquet Ticket Sales
RAPC members can purchase tickets from Social Committee Chair Helena Plamondon (helena.plamondon@gmail.com) at any Tuesday night club meeting. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the RA Centre‘s East Wing Member Service Desk (7 days per week), or ordered by phone (weekdays only from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) with credit card payment by calling 613-736-6224. Phone orders will be available for pick up at the East Wing prior to the banquet, or an envelope with your tickets will be waiting for you at the door on the night of the banquet.
RA Photo Club Souvenir History
Celebrating 75 Years is a 40-page full colour magazine style history of the RA Photo Club from its origins as the RA Camera Club in 1939 until the present year. Copies may be picked up at club meetings, or at the banquet, for $10.
You may also have a copy mailed to you by calling RA Club Coordinator Vanessa Normore at 617-736-6226 to arrange payment by credit card of $15 per copy – the extra is to cover mailing costs.
