The Friends of Limerick present the second annual Spring Orchid Blitz on Saturday June 6, 9am – Noon, at the Craig Rd Block of Limerick Forest North. Come out and see the many orchids or hike the trails and enjoy a spring morning in the forest. Friends of Limerick volunteers will be on hand to assist with identification or trail directions. Driving directions: Take Hwy 416 to Rd. #43 exit for Kemptville. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto #43 and go through Kemptville. Continue west on #43 after Kemptville and you’ll pass the Burritt’s Rapids turnoff, among others. Then turn left onto Bolton Road. At the zig-zag, go left then right, over the tracks. Go approx. one mile to Craig Rd. Turn right. The parking area is about ½ mile down, at the end of the road.
