Accomplished photographer and member of the RA Photo Club, Michel Dorais, fresh from winning the Club’s Bruce Wilson Award for the best black and white print series, is launching a book entitled “Les Boulangers, artisans de la nuit”.

Made in collaboration with graphic artist Alexe Houtart, the book captures the passion and authenticity of bakers Étienne and Emmanuel Lavoie as they labour each night to create the bread they sell at their Aylmer bakery, the Boulangerie Aux deux frères.
Through clouds of flour, in the dim night light, Michel entered a secret place and was privileged to capture in photographs the dedication and commitment that drive the brothers as they craft their wonderfully flavourful baked goods.
