Howard Sandler and Mike MacKay, your Portrait Group Leaders, will present a workshop for members interested in exploring/learning basic portrait lighting and posing. The lighting approach will be applicable to lighting setups using off-camera speed-lights (strobist) as well as to studio lights. In addition to providing an introduction to portrait lighting, the workshop will help members to become familiar with the club’s studio and lighting equipment and participants will be provided with the opportunity to set and adjust the lights.
There will be two models and the emphasis will remain on the kinds of images most photographers would want to do with their families and friends.
In order to maximize the opportunity for hands-on activity this workshop is limited to six photographers. If demand is high, the workshop will be repeated. The cost for the workshop is $25.00 per person. This covers the studio rental and fees for the two models.
