Photos from Classical Portraiture Workshop

On July 16, Howard Sandler and Mike MacKay gave a workshop for six RAPC members on basic portrait lighting and posing.

Two professional models, Cedric and Stacy, were engaged for the practice sessions. With the two models on hand, Mike and Howard pointed out the gender difference in photographing men and women. They showed examples of flattering poses for each sex.

  1. Thanks for blogging about the workshop Chak. The first photo of me showing the DSLR screen to the participants is a perfect illustration of one of the lighting principles: don't use a hairlight for bald people 🙂
