Bruno Di Lalla (Competitions Committee Chair) reports on the first competition of the season in this post. Congratulations to everyone who partcipated and especially to the Club’s new member of the elite Master group – continue reading after the break to find out all the details.
The Nature Competition submissions were judged on Thursday September 16th, 2010. While the Nature photos where restricted to not show the hand of man, the hand of man was used for judging as we reverted back to pen and paper following an outage of our computer system! Given the challenge, all went well and judging was completed at 10:30pm. Presentation night was on September 21st, 2010.

Some stats: 32 prints and 149 digital slides where submitted for a total of 181. There were 2 disqualifications.
- 105 Junior level submissions with an average score of 18.56
- 48 Intermediate level submissions with an average score of 20.48
- 28 Senior level submissions with an average score of 21.25

There was a tie breaker for the print of the night between stunning prints from both Jim Lamont and Peter Juranka with scores of 27. It’s Peter Juranka which was awarded Print of the night with his print titled Lilypads 1.
