Workshop Description
New members to the RA Photo Club Studio Group are required to attend a Studio Orientation session before they are allowed access to the studio’s online booking facility.
In this session you will be briefed on;
• Studio policies (use policies, cancellation polices)
• Model booking policies
• Learn how to operate our equipment
• Learn some basic lighting set ups
Goals and Objectives
The goal of this orientation workshop is to ensure that all Studio Members know the basic “dos and don’ts” about how to use our facility, equipment, model pool, and gain a bit of knowledge on how to set up basic lighting scenarios.
Outline
The workshop will consist of:
• Facility Booking and cancelation Procedures
• Model Pool Booking policies and procedures
• How to set up the facility for a shoot
• The basics on how to work with models in the studio
• Demonstration on basic lighting techniques
• Participate in a shot practice shoot (if timing allows)
Target Group
New Studio members and returning members who feel they need a refresher.
PrerequisitesExperience with using your camera, and camera use basics (aperture setting, manual model, etc)

If the afternoon session fills quickly, please sign onto the waiting list. If there are enough interested folks on the afternoon session’s waiting list I wiill run a second “morning sesison” and seed it from the afternoon session’s waiting list.
