I was one of the participants in the RA Studio Icebreaker last Saturday. Several of us had 75 minutes (15 minutes to work on set up and one hour of photography). Richard Whitbread had a long day probably starting before 8 :30 and ending after 6:00. I’ve been a Studio member for 3 years and have used the Studio sporadically over that time. I thought I had a pretty good idea about lighting techniques – not really. Richard was very helpful and in a good way made me realize I still have a lot to learn. My model was the very attractive Michelle (the photo doesn’t do her justice). Michelle also had her own way of providing very useful advice. My session resulted in a highly recommended experience. It's always a pleasure to see folks developing their skills and having fun at the same time. Michelle, is a great model to work with, as was Carly, our late afternoon sessions model. Given the success of the Icebreaker, I will be re-running the the December/January time frame, and again in the April/May timeframe.
