William McElligott explores the world of architecture on a daily basis through his cameras. Willie comes from a builder background. This early experience provides Willie with a perspective and appreciation when capturing the art of architecture.
Over 30 years, his work has won numerous awards and has been an integral part of several architectural bids including the World Exchange Plaza, the new Ottawa Convention Centre and most recently the Lansdowne Park Revitalization Initiative.
Having traveled extensively for his work around the world, Willie feels completely at ease in any situation. He is always seeking to be in the right place at the right time. “For me, rising before the sun and capturing the first rays of light is, and always will be, an exciting and invigorating moment.”
Willie is coming to the RA Photo Club to present his new book, OTTAWA CANADA – A CELEBRATION OF CANADA’S CAPITAL, a Canadian bestseller. Grouped by themes that emanate from the quintessential four Canadian seasons, the book features stunning displays of what sets Ottawa apart as a world class destination.
